Oh, The Wind Will Blow (ft. Jessica Jalbert) by Doug Hoyer
Here’s a new song from my upcoming full length album, tentatively titled “Walks The Tender And Growing Night”.

Last night I had a dream where David Bowie was coming to Edmonton. He was touring with a skeleton backing band, and needed local musicians to flesh out the sound, so somehow Jenni & I were recruited to play keyboards. I think I had another friend in the backing band, but I don’t remember who.
After rehearsals, Jenni tried to impress Bowie by playing “Life on Mars?” on ukulele. This also included some dance moves and actions. Bowie became a little flustered and left mid-song in a bit of a rush. I also think Jenni was wearing Micky Mouse ears?
On a side note, Calvin and I have been recording some new songs for the new full length album. One of which is very much a dance song, which I’m happy about. At the time I was thinking of Madonna’s first album making out with the Magnetic Fields “Charm of the Highway Strip”, but upon listening to it now, I feel like it’s more like Bowie’s “China Girl” holding hands with a Tom Petty standard.

I suppose you’ll be able to decide for yourself soon enough.
